WordPress site for London based artist, David Jones. David’s paintings and drawings are beautifully detailed, I wanted to keep the surrounding elements and navigation very simple and clean to limit distraction from the work itself.
BBC – CBBC
Worked with the in-house design team in the early stages of a usability overhaul for the CBBC website. The task set out for us was to improve the navigation and existing user experience, mainly focused on content sections and brand support pages. View the website
Lost Lander
One-pager for the extremely talented Portland based band called Lost Lander. Streaming their debut single as well as the usual social goodness. Nice little scroll effect that reveals a sunset as you move down the page. View the website
Foster’s
The Foster’s brand had a identity and product packaging refresh. They used this as an opportunity to update their online presence. Lean Mean Fighting Machine asked me to extend the logo and identity changes across their social media sites and look at how the various connected comedy content, such as Alan Partridge’s Mid Morning Matters, sit within this. We created Tumblr, Facebook and You Tube sites that share a consistent look and feel. I also put together online brand guidelines for any future development. View the website
Avis ArtCar
A facebook app for Avis making it easy for anyone to upload their own design for an ArtCar showcasing entries from UK, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. McBess and Si Scott also worked on their own Avis ArtCars with their “designs in progress” posted to the site regularly. I came into Syzygy in the final stages of the project to tighten the design and UX ready for launch.
Mindshapes : Language City
Website design for a language game from Mindshapes, Language City. Learn a new language by exploring and playing in a fun virtual city. Discover restaurants, night clubs, shops and cafes where you will bump into friendly locals who will ask you questions and set you challenges. Created by the folk at Mindshapes, the pioneering digital publisher of apps and browser based games that promote learning through play. The home page is an introduction to what you can expect to find in the game with enticing illustrations by Andrew Macdonald leading the user down the page. You can sign up and play the game online with detailed account settings to keep track of your subscription and scoring throughout.
PeerIndex
PeerIndex measures interactions across the web to help you understand your impact in social media. It helps you to learn about the people you influence as well as who influences you and in what context. I worked on the first stage of their redesign back when the website was still in beta. I also managed the HTML build using an external company and handed over documents detailing the interaction. View the website
